Operational Risk Manager

For a leading bank in Amsterdam, Robert Walters is recruiting for a (Senior) Operational Risk Manager.

The Non-Financial Risk team is a second-line function. The team is responsible for facilitating and challenging the first line in gaining insight into their operational and IT risks and the existing level of control. This allows the organisation to make good risk-based decisions.

In this role you will both serve as an sparring partner to our 1st line management as well as an ORM expert to ensure our Risk framework is up to par. You will need to challenge the 1st line in the assessment of the risks and the feasibility of the mitigating actions, and monitor the progress of it.

We are looking for an enthusiastic new team member to further strengthen our team. The function provides the opportunity to

• Support and challenge 1st line management on the management of their operational risk.
• Maintenance and execution of group wide ORM instruments (e.g. scenario analysis, ICAAP, Risk appetite & KRI’s)
• Improve Operational Risk Management
• Have influence in decisions made
• Be part of a highly skilled team of ORM professionals

Skills and experiences

• An academic level (Masters)
• 4 to 9 years work experience in Operational risk
• Strong analytic capabilities
• Good verbal and writing skills both in Dutch and English
• Ability to connect at different organisational levels
