What you'll do:
As Senior Human Resources Business Partner at Robert Walters B.V., you will play an instrumental role in aligning people strategies with business goals across four diverse European markets. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve close collaboration with senior leaders to shape organisational direction while leading a dedicated team of HR professionals. You will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative people programmes that enhance talent management practices and support ongoing business transformation. By leveraging your expertise in employment law and data analytics, you will provide valuable insights that inform strategic decisions. - Build strong partnerships with Regional CEOs and Managing Directors to align people strategies with business objectives across the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, and Germany;
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Human Resources Business Partners to maximise their contribution to the organisation’s success;
- Collaborate with Centres of Excellence to implement people programmes that support talent management, succession planning, performance management, compensation, career development, and leadership growth;
- Provide expert guidance on organisational design, workforce planning, process optimisation, and restructuring initiatives to ensure operational effectiveness;
- Utilise data analytics to inform decision-making processes and present actionable insights on key metrics such as employee turnover, absence rates, and dispute resolution timelines;
- Manage complex employee relations issues by conducting thorough investigations in collaboration with legal teams to minimise commercial or reputational risk;
- Develop and implement employee relations strategies that promote positive work environments while ensuring compliance with local employment laws;
- Oversee Works Councils activities locally and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant employment law requirements;
- Identify gaps in people processes or policies and propose effective changes to address risks or inefficiencies across the region;

What you bring:
Your proven background as a Senior Human Resources Business Partner equips you with the expertise needed to navigate complex international landscapes while supporting both business objectives and employee needs. You bring deep understanding of regional employment law—particularly Dutch or French—and have hands-on experience working with Works Councils. Your fluency in English (and ideally Dutch) allows you to connect meaningfully across borders. You are adept at interpreting financial data for strategic planning purposes and have demonstrated success leading teams through periods of change. Your collaborative style ensures strong partnerships with senior stakeholders while your empathetic approach helps create supportive environments where everyone feels valued. - Extensive experience as a senior Human Resources Business Partner leading direct HRBP teams within multinational organisations.
- In-depth knowledge of employment legislation including Dutch and/or French labour law as well as practical experience handling Works Councils at a senior level.
- Fluency in English plus proficiency in at least one other European language—preferably Dutch—to effectively communicate across regions.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with executive stakeholders while providing pragmatic solutions that balance commercial needs with employee wellbeing.
- Proven track record of successfully managing regional HR operations across multiple international territories with sensitivity to cultural differences.
- Strong financial acumen including command of financial analysis and management accounting (such as P&L analysis) to prioritise improvement measures.
- Experience driving change initiatives related to organisational design, talent management, succession planning, performance management, compensation structures, career development, or leadership training.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills enabling you to build trust-based relationships at all levels of the organisation while fostering an inclusive environment.
- A technology-minded approach combined with data-driven thinking for informed decision-making processes.
- Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time as required by the demands of this cross-regional role.
