On behalf of our esteemed client, Nedschroef, we are seeking a seasoned Senior Legal Counsel to head their legal department. What you'll do:

As Senior Legal Counsel at Nedschroef, your role will be integral to ensuring a reliable legal foundation underpins our operations. You'll serve as an advisor and sounding board for management, translating complex issues into clear advice and workable solutions. Your responsibilities will span from contract management to dispute resolution, proactive legal advice to ethics & compliance. You'll also play an active role in governance as Corporate Secretary within Nedschroef's Board of Directors.

• Independently draft, review and negotiate various contracts, including cross-border commercial agreements
• Manage legal procedures and provide workable business solutions for disputes
• Proactively advise colleagues across different disciplines on legal issues, risk assessment and compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Collaborate with the Ethics & Compliance Officer to keep the organisation legally and morally sharp and further strengthen the integrity culture
• Increase legal knowledge within the organisation by conducting internal sessions, workshops and practical guidelines
• Actively serve as Corporate Secretary within Nedschroef's Board of Directors, including preparation of meetings and management of decision-making and control of reporting

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Senior Legal Counsel position is an all-round legal professional who thrives in an international, technically oriented environment. You are solution-oriented, able to make legal themes accessible, and have experience with operational legal processes within a manufacturing company – experience within the automotive industry is highly desirable. You work independently but also actively seek collaboration both within and outside your field.

• Completed WO education in Dutch law; experience in advocacy is a plus
• At least 6 years of relevant work experience, preferably within an international industrial or corporate setting
• Demonstrable experience with commercial contracts, including international contract formation
• Affinity with or experience in a quality- and regulation-driven sector such as automotive (think PPAP/ISO systems)
• Broad knowledge of corporate law and experience with corporate governance in multiple jurisdictions, especially the Netherlands and Germany
• Tactically strong and convincing in communication at all levels within the organisation
• Experience in managing external legal service providers
• Language skills in Dutch and English; German is a plus
