Financial Account Manager

For an US Private Equity firm (mid-sized) we are looking for a Financial Account Manager. The Amsterdam office supports the international deal teams and international portfolio companies with their investments in a wide variety of markets. The firm focuses on leveraged buy-outs and growth capital investments in middle market companies.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Responsibility for timely and accurate financial accounting, tax and other compliance requirements for the Dutch holding companies under Dutch GAAP / Dutch tax principles and IFRS.
• General bookkeeping, accounting and financial administration for the Dutch holding companies.
• Prepare monthly financials for 10 entities.
• Prepare periodical reporting for the Dutch holding companies under IFRS.
• Prepare Annual statutory accounts, CIT / VAT compliance (in conjunction with external advisors) and assistance with internal and external audits.
• Oversight and review of bookkeeping and compliance tasks for portfolio and holding companies.
• Providing support and guidance to finance colleagues in portfolio companies.
• Treasury management for Dutch subsidiaries, e.g. managing cash requirements for and distributions from portfolio companies.
• Shall perform holding and portfolio company bookkeeping, portfolio company performance monitoring and analysis, liquidity management and CIT / VAT compliance. The position will require regular interaction with the investment professional and business operations teams.

Requirements

You are someone who likes to connect detail with efficiency and has the skills to work independently. You are supplementary to the other employees of the Dutch office, not afraid to put forward your own opinion.

• 3-5 years relevant professional work experience, ideally with one of the Big Four firms in a role involving bookkeeping, accounting, reporting, cash management at tax compliance for PE firms.
• Fluency in written and spoken English. Proficiency of the German language is a pre.
• Strong understanding and experience with Dutch GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience with Dutch Corporate Income Tax and VAT compliance.
• Degree in accounting, finance, economics or similar.
• Good knowledge of accounting and financial systems.
• Competent in Microsoft Excel.
