Director Legal EMEA
Inseego is expanding its European business, supporting 5G fixed wireless access, mobile broadband, and connected devices. The Netherlands will be a principal hub for customer contracting, regional G&A, and European import, export, distribution, and logistics; International HR and Finance leadership will be based there.
Core Responsibilities
- Commercial and go-to-market. Lead European carrier, customer, channel, distribution/reseller, supplier, technology, and strategic-partnership agreements, including pricing, liability, service/support, warranties, security, and data terms.
- Products and market access. Advise Product, Engineering, Operations, and Quality on placing 5G/FWA and connected devices on the European market, including CE/conformity, RED, cybersecurity/Cyber Resilience Act, product safety/EMC, telecom/spectrum, market surveillance, and related producer-responsibility requirements.
- Privacy, cybersecurity, and AI. Lead GDPR, cybersecurity, and AI legal work, including data processing and transfers, security terms, incident response, EU AI Act readiness, and governance of AI-enabled products and internal or third-party AI use.
- Supply chain, trade, and operations. Support European ODM, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, warranty, repair, and customer-support arrangements, including Netherlands-based import/export, customs, country of origin, trade compliance, product movement, returns, sanctions, and tax/insurance interfaces.
- Legal operations and outside counsel. Manage European outside counsel and implement and refine global templates, playbooks, training, and established intake, approval, and escalation processes for Europe.
Candidate Profile
- Experience and qualification. Qualified lawyer with 8-15 years of post-qualification experience in the Netherlands, another EU/EEA jurisdiction, or the United Kingdom.
Dutch qualification or substantial Netherlands experience is preferred. - Commercial technology background. Broad, hands-on in-house experience supporting a multinational technology, telecommunications, wireless, connected-device, hardware, software, SaaS, or similarly regulated business, with strong commercial transactional capability.
- Relevant risk-area depth. Meaningful experience in one or more of product/technology regulation, privacy/cybersecurity/AI, or supply chain/trade, with sound judgment to spot issues and lead specialist advisers. 5G/FWA, radio equipment, CE/RED, cybersecurity, AI, or product-market-access experience is preferred.
- Working style. Comfortable advising senior leaders across European jurisdictions and a global matrix; fluent English required, with Dutch or another European language preferred. Pragmatic, collaborative, and effective in a fast-moving growth environment.
