You will join a newly established international procurement team responsible for strategic sourcing activities across more than 20 countries. The position combines strategic procurement with hands-on project execution and gives you significant exposure to senior stakeholders, Category Managers and technology suppliers across the organisation.

Your main responsibility is to lead complex Technology sourcing projects from initial strategy through contract execution. This includes understanding business requirements, analysing supplier markets, developing sourcing strategies, running large-scale RFx processes and leading commercial and contractual negotiations.

Given the scale and international nature of the organisation, you will work on high-value and often complex sourcing initiatives where procurement, technology, risk, compliance and business requirements come together.

What will you be responsible for?

As Sourcing Project Manager, you will take ownership of strategic sourcing projects within the global Technology category.

You will:

• Lead end-to-end source-to-contract projects, from initial business requirements and market analysis through supplier selection, negotiation and contracting.

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies together with Category Managers and key business stakeholders.

• Manage complex and high-value RFx processes, including supplier engagement, evaluation, negotiations and final recommendations.

• Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with strategic technology suppliers.

• Advise Category Managers on sourcing strategy, supplier segmentation and opportunities for additional value creation.

• Work closely with senior stakeholders across Technology, Procurement, Risk, Compliance and other business functions.

• Coordinate supplier onboarding and ensure the appropriate procurement and compliance processes are followed.

• Monitor supplier performance against contractual agreements and support discussions around performance and service quality.

• Lead cross-functional and international project teams across multiple regions.

• Coach procurement colleagues on negotiation techniques, sourcing methodology and analytical approaches.

The position therefore goes beyond simply running tenders. You will act as a senior procurement professional and project lead, bringing structure to complex sourcing initiatives and advising stakeholders throughout the entire procurement process.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with a strong background in strategic Technology procurement, preferably gained within banking, financial services or another highly regulated international environment.

You bring:

• 6+ years of experience within tactical and/or strategic procurement in an international financial services environment.

• 5+ years of experience managing strategic sourcing and contract projects within Technology, including transformation programmes.

• Experience leading large-scale procurement programmes within banking or a comparable complex organisation.

• Strong experience with Technology sourcing, category management and contract negotiations.

• Demonstrable experience managing large RFx processes with spend above €5 million.

• A strong understanding of procurement processes, compliance requirements and regulatory considerations within financial services.

• Proven ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders within an international matrix organisation.

• Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating sourcing projects across multiple countries or regions.

• Strong commercial, analytical and negotiation skills.

• Excellent written and spoken English.

A university degree is required, with a Master’s degree and/or background in Computer Science or a related technical discipline considered particularly relevant for the position.

Experience coaching or mentoring other procurement professionals is also highly valued.
