Interim Lead Information Security Officer

For a bank recuiting for an Interim Lead Information Security Officer. You will be responsible for second-line Information Security and ICT risk management. You will further strengthen Information Security Management Framework and provide independent oversight, challenge and expert guidance on Information Security, cyber and ICT risks. Responsibilities Interim Lead Information Security Officer:

Maintaining Information Security and cyber threat landscape and translating emerging threats into concrete risk, security and control requirements.
Translating market standards and regulatory requirements, taking into account a.o. DORA and relevant EBA requirements, into effective policies, standards, risks and controls.
Providing independent second-line oversight and challenge on Information Security and ICT risk, including the design, implementation and effectiveness of controls.
Ensure relevance of management information, dashboards and KRIs and providing senior management and relevant risk committees with a clear view of the Information Security risk profile.
Monitoring implementation of policies and requirements, including control effectiveness, policy exceptions and remediation of identified weaknesses.
Providing expert guidance on key Information Security and ICT risks, including vulnerability management, identity and access security, data protection, cyber incidents and operational resilience.
Providing second-line oversight of outsourcing and third-party ICT risk, including risk assessments, assurance and critical dependencies.
Supporting Information Security incident and cyber crisis management from a second-line perspective (member of CSIRT) and ensuring that lessons learned are appropriately addressed.
Driving Information Security awareness and training and supporting colleagues in translating requirements into effective practices.
Ensuring that Information Security and ICT risk requirements are adequately embedded in projects and major change initiatives.
Coaching and supporting ORM colleagues on content, including the 2.5 FTE focused on IT security. This is an expert leadership role, not a people-management position.

Requirements Interim Lead Information Security Officer:

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Information Security / ICT risk professional who can operate independently and add value from day one.
You have already performed a comparable senior role, preferably within a regulated financial institution, and have a good understanding of and experience with the various technical security measures. You bring a practical, risk-based approach to applying Information Security frameworks, assessing ICT and cyber risks, defining adequate risk mitigation strategies, and dealing with incidents and third-party risks.
You will act as a trusted senior expert on Information Security, ICT risk and cyber resilience, build strong relationships across, particularly with the IT (security) community, senior management, while maintaining the independence required for effective second-line challenge.
