About the Opportunity

An international organization with operations across multiple continents is looking for a hands-on Finance Manager & Statutory Director to oversee its Dutch entity. This is a unique position combining financial management, governance responsibility, compliance oversight, and international mobility administration.

As the local finance lead, you will act as the trusted financial representative for the Dutch business while partnering closely with international Finance, HR, Tax, and Legal teams. You will play a key role in ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and efficient day-to-day operations.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced finance professional who enjoys working independently, operating in an international environment, and taking ownership of both strategic and operational responsibilities.

The Role

You will be responsible for the financial management and statutory compliance of the Dutch entity while serving as a statutory director under Dutch corporate law.

Your responsibilities will include:

Financial Operations & Banking

• Managing local banking relationships and authorized payment processes.
• Maintaining bank mandates and signatory structures.
• Overseeing cash management and payment controls.

Accounting & Reporting

• Supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinating the preparation of statutory financial statements under Dutch GAAP.
• Collaborating with international finance teams on group reporting requirements.

Payroll & Employee Administration

• Coordinating Dutch payroll processes and related tax obligations.
• Managing relationships with payroll, pension, and benefits providers.
• Ensuring compliance with local employment-related regulations.

International Mobility

• Administering international employee assignments.
• Coordinating immigration, visa, and work permit processes.
• Managing assignee compensation, benefits, and mobility-related administration.
• Working with external advisors on international tax and social security matters.

Tax & Compliance

• Managing Dutch VAT, corporate income tax, wage tax, and related filings.
• Supporting transfer pricing and intercompany compliance activities.
• Acting as the key local contact for external advisors and authorities.

Governance & Internal Controls

• Serving as statutory director of the Dutch entity.
• Ensuring compliance with Dutch corporate governance requirements.
• Supporting internal and external audits.
• Maintaining strong internal controls and segregation of duties.
• Overseeing corporate registrations, filings, and legal compliance matters.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 5+ years of relevant finance experience in an international environment.
• Solid experience with accounting, month-end close, reporting, and payment processes.
• Good knowledge of Dutch GAAP, VAT, payroll taxes, and statutory compliance.
• Experience working with ERP systems; exposure to Workday is advantageous.
• Understanding of internal control frameworks such as SOX or similar governance environments.
• Experience with international mobility, expatriate administration, or cross-border employee support is a strong advantage.
• Fluent English communication skills; Dutch language skills are beneficial.
