Your tasks and responsibilities

They are looking for an hands-on Finance Manager (1fte managing) who will be responsible for all accounting activities in relation to the Dutch legal entity. Since the carve out, the organisation has built a solid
foundation and is now actively working on further standardisation and closer collaboration with other
finance teams, including Group FP&A, Project Controlling, the Accounting teams in Germany and the
Shared Service Center. In this role you have a hands-on role in the accounting domain.
You will report to the Group Head.

In this role, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with local laws and regulations, and
efficient day-to-day execution of core finance processes. The complexity of the role is driven by the organisations
project based, international business model with delivery driven projects. As a result, you will be
exposed to:
• Project positions on the balance sheet (contract assets and contract liabilities)
• Project related accruals and provisions depending on project status
• FX-related accounts (hedges and embedded derivatives)
• VAT and ICP reporting

Key responsibilities

Financial operations and compliance
• Own all accounting processes in the Netherlands, ensuring compliance with IFRS, Dutch GAAP, tax
legislation and internal policies
• Lead the month end, quarter end and year end close
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to the shareholder
• Coordinate audits and act as the main point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors and
regulators
• Ensure compliance with VAT, corporate income tax and other statutory financial requirements

Team lead
• Leading and developing one FTE within the accounting team, with a focus on performance and
professional development
• Coordination with the Shared Service Center, focusing on maintaining efficiency and quality

Process optimisation
• Improve finance processes, implement best practices and drive automation to increase efficiency
Stakeholder management
• Partner with internal stakeholders (Finance, HR, Operations) to support decision making with accurate
financial insights

Cash flow management and reporting
• Monitor cash flow and support treasury activities
• Prepare financial reporting and analyses to support management in strategic decision making
• Work closely with the finance leadership team to align accounting practices with broader business
objective

Your knowledge and experience

The ideal candidate is an ethical and detail-oriented professional with a strong sense of ownership and
accountability. He or she combines analytical thinking with a practical, hands-on approach and is able to
communicate financial information clearly across different levels of the organisation. The fast-faced
environment, combined with the down-to-earth culture, should feel like a comfortable fit. Flexibility, a

stakeholders make this person a stable and reliable member of the finance team.

Required qualifications and skills
• Completed Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• >5 years of accounting experience, preferably in an international environment (can be big4)
• Hands on mentality with a strong focus on delivering results
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
• Proactive, self-starting and able to communicate directly and clearly
• Relevant experience with IFRS, Dutch GAAP, tax regulations (VAT) and financial compliance
• Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools (SAP is a strong plus)
• Strong communication skills and fluent in English, both spoken and written; preference for candidates
who are also fluent in Dutch
