Senior Internal IT Auditor Singapore

Besi is looking for an experienced Senior Internal IT Auditor to join its international Internal Audit & Control department in Singapore. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of IT governance, risk management, cybersecurity, compliance and international business operations. You will join a small international team of five professionals, led by the Director Internal Audit & Control.

The team conducts financial, operational, IT and compliance audits across the global organization. Based in Singapore, you will work closely with IT, cybersecurity, finance and controlling. Besi's Singapore office employs approximately 275 people and plays an important role. This position goes beyond traditional IT auditing. You will act as a trusted sparring partner for IT management and other stakeholders, proactively advising on risks, internal controls and improvement opportunities. The role combines a high degree of autonomy and responsibility with close collaboration across Europe and Asia.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Independently plan and execute IT audits as part of the international internal audit plan;
• Assess the design and operating effectiveness of IT General Controls (ITGCs), IT Application Controls and IT-related reporting;
• Conduct audits focusing on cybersecurity, data privacy, access management and Segregation of Duties (SoD);
• Act as an independent advisor and trusted sparring partner for IT, cybersecurity and other stakeholders;
• Identify and assess IT-related risks concerning information security, compliance, business processes and internal controls;
• Advise on relevant legislation and regulations, including the NIS2 Directive and the Dutch Cybersecurity Act;
• Perform operational and compliance audits, identifying opportunities to improve business processes and internal controls;
• Assess IT risks related to system implementations, data migrations and other IT transformation initiatives;
• Contribute to the professionalization of the Internal Audit & Control department through knowledge sharing, quality improvement and coaching;
• Monitor technological developments, including Artificial Intelligence, and assess their impact on IT governance, risk management and audit processes

Skills & Qualifications
Besi is looking for an experienced IT audit professional who combines technical expertise with independence, confidence and strong communication skills. You are comfortable advising stakeholders at different organizational levels and thrive in an international environment.

• A completed Master's degree in IT Auditing and the RE qualification;
• At least five years of relevant IT Audit & Assurance experience within a Big Four accounting firm;
• Experience at supervisor or assistant manager level or above, with a proven ability to independently manage complex IT audit engagements;
• Strong knowledge of IT governance, risk management, internal controls and relevant audit standards;
• Experience in cybersecurity, data privacy, IT General Controls and IT Application Controls;
• Knowledge of and practical experience with SAP environments;
• Familiarity with relevant legislation, including the NIS2 Directive and the Dutch Cybersecurity Act;
• Experience in audit quality management, knowledge sharing and coaching colleagues;
• Experience in an international technology company, preferably within the semiconductor industry, is a strong advantage. Corporate experience and knowledge of the European AI Act are also beneficial.
