Position Overview
As Senior Accounting & Tax specialist, you will be a key contributor to the financial operations of the Dutch legal entities, taking ownership of a broad scope of accounting, tax, and treasury processes. You will ensure full compliance with local regulations and group policies, while supporting strategic decision-making through accurate reporting and financial oversight.

This role involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders (Procurement, Treasury, Controlling, IT) and corporate teams, as well as external advisors and auditors. You will be the go-to person for both daily operations and process improvement initiatives across accounting and tax domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate implementation and ongoing monitoring of accounting, tax, and treasury processes in alignment with group policies and local regulations.
• Oversee the application of accounting procedures and business processes in accordance with national and international standards, as well as group accounting policies.
• Supervise bookkeeping activities, ensuring accuracy in transaction recording, financial analysis, and reporting.
• Manage monthly and annual financial closings and reporting cycles for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor and ensure the accuracy and compliance of the invoicing process.
• Support all tax-related activities, including timely preparation, submission, and payment of tax obligations to local authorities.
• Ensure local tax compliance and seek opportunities for tax process optimization.
• Coordinate with the corporate treasury team to manage payment processing, bank reconciliations, cash flow planning, and forecasting.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, as well as working capital management.
• Manage intragroup financing and ensure proper cash upstreaming processes are in place.
• Handle insurance-related finance administration and ensure adequate coverage and controls.
• Support general finance-related administrative tasks as needed.
• Act as the key contact for external auditors and manage the local audit processes.
• Oversee lease accounting and ensure accurate treatment under both Dutch GAAP and IFRS from accounting, tax, and treasury perspectives.
• Collaborate on finance-related IT implementations and contribute to the ongoing improvement and efficiency of finance processes.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, Business Control, or Management Accounting.
• Significant experience in similar roles, ideally in tech industry.
• Solid understanding of local and international tax laws, accounting standards, and financial operations.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work across functions and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a proactive and structured approach.
