Financial Accountant

For an entrepreneurial family office based in Hilversum, we are looking for a Financial Accountant who will take ownership of the financial administration across multiple entities while contributing to the further development of reporting, financial insights, and operational processes.

As part of the finance team, you will work closely with four colleagues while enjoying a high degree of independence and responsibility in your role.

The role

As Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial administration of several entities and play an active role in strengthening financial reporting and improving internal processes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the financial administration for multiple entities
• Processing, reviewing, and analyzing financial transactions
• Handling accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
• Performing bank reconciliations and cash management tasks
• Preparing and filing VAT returns
• Supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
• Assisting with management reporting and financial analysis
• Identifying discrepancies and supporting internal control activities
• Driving improvements in financial and administrative processes
• Contributing to the digitalization and optimization of finance workflows

About you

We are looking for a finance professional with a strong accounting foundation who is eager to broaden their responsibilities and further develop their analytical and reporting skills.

You bring:

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar finance or accounting role
• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics, or a related discipline
• Solid knowledge of Dutch GAAP
• Experience working with financial systems; experience with Exact Online is an advantage
• A genuine interest in reporting, financial analysis, and process improvement
• A proactive, accurate, and well-organized working style
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues
• Availability for 32–40 hours per week
• Fluency in Dutch, both written and spoken
