AP Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Accounts Payable Specialist to join a highly respected proprietary trading firm based in Amsterdam. What you'll do:

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play an integral role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of both the Amsterdam headquarters and an international office. Your main tasks will be:

• Process incoming invoices
• Oversee the dedicated invoices mailbox
• Support the implementation and onboarding of a new expense management system, helping streamline processes and improve overall efficiency within the finance function.
• Assist with maintaining accurate records of all accounts payable transactions, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Contribute to regular reconciliations of accounts payable ledgers, identifying discrepancies and assisting in their resolution in a timely manner.
• Participate in periodic reviews of financial procedures, suggesting improvements where appropriate to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

What you bring:

To excel as a Junior Accounts Payable Specialist, you will bring:

• Experience using accounting software; familiarity with Exact Online is especially valued for this position.
• A solid understanding of Dutch VAT rules and regulations is preferred, enabling you to process transactions accurately within local compliance frameworks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with colleagues and external partners alike.
• A high level of attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability as a self-starter who can take initiative while also being an enthusiastic team player committed to shared success.
