Credit Controller

An international company in the consumer goods is looking for a proactive and experienced International Credit Controller to join its finance team. This is a stand-alone position with broad responsibilities and impact. The role is based in the Amersfoort area and requires 3 days per week in the office (hybrid working possible).

Key responsibilities

• Assess and monitor the creditworthiness of international dealers.
• Advise the management team on credit risks and ongoing issues.
• Follow up with dealers via email and phone to ensure timely payments and determine whether credit can be released.
• Maintain contact with dealer finance departments, adapting communication style depending on English proficiency.
• Share credit reporting and insights with the Finance Director, who handles escalations.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable (administrative level), while managing your own portfolio independently.
• Prepare reports using Excel and work in Dynamics 365 to support credit decisions and financial reporting.

Your profile

• 3+ years of experience in credit control, ideally in an international context.
• Fluent in English; other European languages are an advantage.
• Able to work independently, take ownership, and show commercial awareness.
• Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity when dealing with international partners.
• Comfortable with Excel and Dynamics 365 (or similar ERP systems).
• Available 32–40 hours per week and able to commute to Amersfoort office 3 days per week.

Offer

• Salary between €4,200 – €4,500 gross per month (based on full-time, depending on experience)
