Financial Controller (Mandarine)

As the European organization continues to expand, they are looking for an ambitious Finance Controller to strengthen the finance team at the European headquarters in the Netherlands.This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional with 2–3 years of experience who is eager to grow within an international, technology-driven organization.

Your tasks and responsibilities

As Finance Controller, you will be responsible for supporting the financial operations of the European entities. You will work closely with the European management team while maintaining daily communication with the headquarters in China. Therefore, fluency in Mandarin and English is essential.

You will play an important role in financial reporting, cash flow management, banking relationships, budgeting, compliance, and process improvements while helping to build a scalable finance organization across Europe.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital
• Manage relationships with European banks and financial institutions
• Process and monitor domestic and international payments
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Prepare management reports and financial analyses
• Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Support VAT returns and statutory financial reporting
• Assist external accountants and auditors
• Ensure compliance with European financial regulations and internal policies
• Identify opportunities to automate and improve financial processes
• Communicate daily with headquarters in China regarding financial reporting and operational matters

Your knowledge and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• Approximately 2–3 years of experience in a Finance Controller, Financial Accountant, or similar finance role
• Experience working within a European business environment
• Good understanding of European banking systems, payment procedures, and financial processes
• Fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English (written and spoken)
• Experience within logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management
• Knowledge of Dutch and European VAT regulations
• Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems
• Experience with financial process automation and digitalization
• Basic knowledge of the dutch language is considered an advantage
