Senior Privacy Counsel (interim)

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Legal Counsel / Solicitor with 8+ years of proven privacy / data protection
law experience to join our dynamic legal team on a 10 - 12 month contract basis. The successful candidate
will be located in Uk/Ireland (preferred) or remote in the EU (on a flexible or remote basis), reporting to the Head of Global Privacy.

What you get to do in this role:

• Provide advice and guidance to various departments, including governance, risk and
compliance, sales, product teams, procurement, and human resources, as part of the Global
Privacy team.
• Assist the commercial legal and procurement legal team by reviewing and negotiating privacyrelated
agreements, (e.g. DPAs, SCCs, International Data Transfer Agreements), in support of
global sales and procurement transactions.
• Advise on existing and emerging privacy and data related laws in EMEA generally.
• Assist in privacy guidance to the business in relation to AI/ML and other emerging
technologies.
• Advise various business team on the privacy and data protection aspects of cookies and other
tracking technologies.
• Act as subject matter expert on international data transfer mechanisms.
• Assist in the development of the company’s privacy practices in light of changes in the law in
all Global territories, working in co-ordination with the Global Privacy team worldwide.

Assist in carrying out data transfer impact assessments and providing guidance in relation to international data transfer and data localisation developments.

• Assist in pursuing and maintaining privacy related Certifications and Standards.
• Support privacy training for various groups within the company.
• Assist in privacy related due diligence and privacy impact assessments in M&A transactions.
• Advise on product related legal issues.
