What you'll do:
As a Senior Associate Litigation at Pogust Goodhead, you will immerse yourself in some of the most significant class action cases currently before European courts. Your day-to-day will involve collaborating with talented professionals on high-stakes disputes that span multiple jurisdictions. You will be entrusted with drafting persuasive legal documents, managing complex case files, and building strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners. - Collaborate with colleagues on large-scale contentious matters, including cross-border disputes involving multiple jurisdictions and parties.
- Conduct thorough legal research and draft high-quality memoranda, legal submissions, and related documentation to support case strategies.
- Effectively manage meetings by preparing clear agendas, tracking action points, and ensuring follow-up on key decisions.
- Support the firm’s objectives by contributing to the successful implementation of various legal strategies across diverse practice areas.
- Develop and nurture relationships with co-counsel, expert witnesses, funders, claim foundations, and other external stakeholders to facilitate seamless case management.
- Oversee the organisation and maintenance of legal documentation while demonstrating meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of file management.
- Contribute actively to business development initiatives by participating in marketing activities and authoring insightful content for firm publications.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies throughout all stages of litigation processes.

- Completed professional training (beroepsopleiding) demonstrating your readiness for independent practice within Dutch law.
- Master’s degree in law complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Dutch law as foundational qualifications for this role.
- Fluency in both Dutch and English (written and oral), enabling effective communication with clients and colleagues across borders.
- At least three years’ experience handling litigation matters at a top-rated law firm in the Netherlands, showcasing your technical expertise.
- Proven track record in class actions or collective redress cases; experience in environmental protection, securities litigation, competition or consumer/medical product liability is highly desirable.
- Exceptional analytical skills allowing you to understand client needs deeply and devise optimal case strategies tailored to each situation.
- Meticulous attention to detail ensuring consistently high standards across all written work and documentation management tasks.
- Excellent organisational abilities reflected through robust file management practices and diligent timekeeping records.
- Confident communicator who remains calm under pressure while fostering positive interpersonal relationships within teams as well as with external parties.
- Demonstrated flexibility in approach to work so that client deadlines are always met efficiently; previous involvement in pro-bono or social justice/human rights work is considered an advantage.
