What You’ll Do
As an Interim Procurement Governance and Adoption Lead, you will be instrumental in laying the groundwork for a global Req-to-Pay programme. Your responsibilities will include assessing current procurement practices to identify gaps in policy and control frameworks, designing ownership models (RACI), implementing due diligence standards tailored to business needs, and driving adoption through change management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct gap assessments of procurement processes to improve policies and controls across regions;
- Design and implement a global ownership model (RACI) to clarify roles and responsibilities;
- Develop due diligence standards aligned with business needs and regulatory requirements;
- Shape buy-channel strategies within the Ways of Working pillar for operational efficiency;
- Build change management plans including communications and training strategies;
- Establish regional champions to support rollout efforts and train requester groups;
- Coordinate audit responses with Finance, AP, and internal audit teams;
- Create defensible documentation for controls that unify regional approaches into global standards;
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, AP, Legal, FP&A, Tax) across US, AMS, APAC regions;
- Support supplier/requester enablement initiatives during programme rollout.
What You Bring
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience from procurement operations or internal audit roles involving governance frameworks and change management projects. You are proactive in identifying gaps in processes or policies while proposing actionable solutions. Strong interpersonal skills allow you to manage relationships effectively across departments while fostering collaboration among diverse teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in operations, business administration, supply chain management, finance, audit or related field;
- 5–10 years’ experience in procurement operations or internal audit with exposure to governance frameworks and change management initiatives;
- Proven ability to build RACIs (Responsible-Accountable-Consulted-Informed), policies, and controls documentation from scratch;
- Experience designing communications strategies and delivering training programmes for diverse audiences;
- Strong stakeholder management skills with senior partners across Finance, Procurement, AP, Legal departments;
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for drafting policies and training content;
- Proactive problem-solving abilities with a focus on foundational work over routine tasks;
- Familiarity with tools like Coupa (procurement platform), Tableau/Power BI (analytics), MS 365 suite (SharePoint/Teams/Visio), Confluence preferred but not mandatory.
