Key Accountmanager

We are partnering with an internationally operating manufacturer of high-quality specialty ingredients to recruit an experienced Account Manager. The company serves leading global customers across the Personal Care, Home Care, Industrial & Institutional (HI&I), and Nutrition markets and is continuing to expand its commercial footprint across Europe.

As part of its growth strategy, the organization is looking for a commercially driven professional to manage and develop strategic customer relationships while identifying new business opportunities within the assigned territory. This position combines strategic key account management with business development and offers significant autonomy within a collaborative international environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts across Europe.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring an outstanding customer experience.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with customer objectives.
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Service, Supply Chain, Marketing, Product Development, and Operations to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Manage sales forecasting, pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and commercial reporting.
  • Monitor market trends, customer developments, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.

Profiel van kandidaat

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5–10 years of successful B2B sales experience within the ingredients, specialty chemicals, or chemical manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in the Personal Care, HI&I, or Nutrition sectors is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of ingredients such as tocopherols (Vitamin E), antioxidants, phytosterols, or similar specialty ingredients would be an advantage.
  • Experience with a chemical manufacturer or distributor is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in consultative selling, key account management, and business development.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and the ability to build long-term customer partnerships.
  • Experience working with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and Microsoft 365.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch and/or German language skills are considered an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for approximately 50% of the time.
